O Holy Spirit, You have generously filled League members with Your gifts. We thank you for the many women who have cooperated with you in using and sharing their talents. We remember today what some of Your gifts have been and how they have grown and blossomed in the League to produce great works for the good of all. |

We think of those who shared with us their gift of knowledge and understanding of the faith, their deep prayerfulness and spirituality. |

They inspired and enriched sister members, reached out to communicate with those of other faiths. |

We think of those who share their leadership abilities, their organizational skills, their understanding of finances, their business and secretarial skills. |

They have helped all parts of the League run smoothly, thereby fostering unity and understanding and assisting in all league works. REFRAIN |

They have contributed immeasurably to the lift of the parish family and community. They have provided financial support for innumerable charities. |

Their experience and careful preservation of the history of the League has ensured that the works of those who have gone before will not be forgotten but will live to inspire future League members. REFRAIN |

We think of those whose hearts have been steeped in League dedication and activity in time gone by and how the old order has passed. We think of how they have been asked to leave behind familiar working relationships that reflect their heritage, their traditions, and their spiritual roots; and have been asked to stretch, to grow, to progress in new directions. |

They have embraced change, like the braving of an unknown frontier: they have risked their hearts and their energy for the good of the League; they have pledged their wisdom and efforts as sisters in solidarity for the growth and good of all. REFRAIN |

For all our personal strengths and the strengths of other League members we are grateful. We thank you, Holy Spirit, most loving and divine for the many ways in which You have enhanced these gifts and given us new ones through the Catholic Women’s League.
Please continue to be with us, and to enlighten us with the vision to build a League that in all things evangelizes and encourages us to be like Christ and carry out his mission … to put God’s love in practise. |
