Leader:
As we begin our new term, we recognize that we all bring different gifts to our work in the League.
Let us commit ourselves to recognizing and sharing these gifts in a spirit of co‐operation and empowerment
so that we may build up the kingdom of God in a loving caring manner.

PRAYER: Left and right sides.
LS: May all who come to our meetings be treated with respect and kindness.
RS: May all who come to our meetings find love and acceptance.
LS: May all who come to our meetings find encouragement and affirmation.
RS: May all who come to our meetings find caring and compassion.
LS: May all who come to our meetings find gentleness and patience.
RS: May all who come to our meetings find forgiveness and reconciliation.
LS: May all who come to our meetings find courage and strength.
RS: May all who come to our meetings find peace and hope.
All Together:
Bless the efforts of this executive team as we work together for God and Canada.
President:
May my leadership and dedication to the League allow all members to celebrate their fair and truly
become “Women of Peace and Hope, centred in Faith and Justice”.
Recording Secretary:
May records be efficient and record well the proceedings we undertake.
Corresponding Secretary:
May my correspondence be informative accurate and elevate the image of the League.
Treasurer:
May my efforts to monitor the finances of the League always reflect good stewardship.
Spiritual Development:
May my efforts help members to enhance and deepen their own spirituality while they grow in
knowledge and appreciation of their gift of Faith.
Organization:
May my enthusiasm and programming skills draw new members to the League and help current
members to develop their leadership skills.
Christian Family Life:
May my efforts support and strengthen the family unit, diverse as it may be in our society today and
allow our members to reach out in ministry to all segments of our society.
Community Life:
May my efforts help members to reflect a Christian perspective in the many diverse activities in their
local communities and abroad as we celebrate the dignity and rights of all persons.
Communications:
May my work in communications allow everyone to learn how significant and valuable the work of the
Catholic Women’s League of Canada truly is.
Education and Health:
May my efforts support the cause of the Catholic education and provide opportunities for all to learn and grow and become who they were meant to be – healthy, happy, caring members of a Christian community.
Resolutions:
May my work in resolutions draw attention to the inadequacies and disparities that exist in our society
and further the efforts of members to make the changes necessary for a more just society.
Legislation:
May my efforts convince members of the value of following through on the projects we undertake to
improve our world.
All Together:
May we rejoice in the League and celebrate the many opportunities we have to experience faith, fun and
fulfillment as we become Women of Peace and Hope, Centred in Faith and Justice.
