Patsy Salzl
Community Life
I live in Paradise Hill on a farm with my husband Kevin and we have been married for 42 years. We have 5 grown sons and have 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson. We have chickens and cattle and our 1 son has 3 milk cows that we help milk and my job is to make the butter. I am a massage therapist and I run a private practice out of Paradise Hill. We love to camp in the summer and watch hockey in the winter, but our passion is having season tickets for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
I became a CWL member shortly after I got married and became a member to the Catholic Church in Paradise Hill of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. I think that it is about 38 years as a CWL member and in that time I have filled many positions on the council of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. A few years back I went on the Diocesan Council and was chairperson of Health and Education. I very much enjoyed that council making new friends and lasting friends. My life became very busy and I had to step down and it was hard to do.
I am very active in our Parish. I am now the parish secretary and am trying to fulfill that position. I am a Eucharistic minister and lay minister as well as a liturgy minister. I am the head of our liturgy committee.
This is my first year on Provincial Council and I will be the chairperson for Community Life. I look forward to working with everyone and making more friends that will life time friends. I hope I can meet the expectations of this new position.
